I watched Nick Waterhouse and the Tarots play today at the Getty for free and I met them and walked through the Getty with Nick Waterhouse himself and we hugged for a while as we got our picture taken and I am all butterflies. Adrian got Nick’s setlist and got it signed by almost the entire band ftw.
Watching yourself fuck up in many areas of your life gives you a whole new perspective on who you really are. In fact, I feel tarnished and unrecognizable.

On Saturday I stood next to a 2,700 year-old tree called the Grizzly Giant. I hopped over the small wooden fence separating us and I ran my fingers against its broken bark because I couldn’t think of anything more alive and beautiful than a silent organism that has seen it all.
